A "goldmine" for your record collection!

I first bought this book to help me figure out the value of my vast Elvis collection of records. I didn't realize there were so many versions of one record. This book is easy to use and read and is considered the industry standard when pricing and rating records. I love it and use it almost everyday in selling off my collection.

I decided to purchase this book because of the price and ease of availability. It has alot of valuable information that has come in very handy for me since I've started selling on e-bay. E-bay truly puts the world at your doorstep.

Goldmine Record Album Price Guide by Tim Neely (2005)

I deal in vinyl record albums. 10 inch and 12 inch LPs. This book is highly specific to these records. I took the book first from the local library. I used it a few times, and after ONE DAY I dicided that I HAD to have it. I have several books on vinyl recordings, this book is the first one I pick up. When I go out to buy records, THIS IS THE BOOK I TAKE. The only book I need to take.

As opposed to other priceguides, the Goldmine features Albums that you might actually own. There is a nice amount of punk and new wave albums featured which I think is great. If it had a Reggae addition I would take it with me to bed at night but hey, you can't always get what you blah blah...
I highly recommend the Goldmine not only for Blue Book purposes but also just for collectors to figure out what your album might have gone for if you hadn't spilled that beer over it at that party you threw in '86 when your parents went on that Bahamas trip.

Fourth Edition Goldmine Record Album Price Guide

Fourth Edition Goldmine Record Album Price Guide

The back states Vinyl is Back. And it is! The sound is better than that on CDs and the artistry has more engaging images. This book is an excellent compilation of the better selling LP records. It is indexed by artist, then record label company, and then the record code. After that is complete, a description is given with title, year, and price.
Before the long individual listings are given, there are 35 pages of a Label Identifying Guide. This is a very informative part of the book. Consider purchasing this book if you enjoy collecting records.

  A whole lot of nothing

This book contains a gazzilion records and their so called prices.Almost every record I tried to look up was not in here.I mean there is a listing by a group called the Art Bears (whoever heard of them) but then I find nothing on George Thorogood and the Destroyers, everyone has heard of him....you know,Bad to the Bone-bbbbbbbbbaaad.
This price guide is bad.If you want to know the real price for a record, just look it up on Ebay or Popsike. This book is a whole lot of nothing.
