GoldenEye 007 (Nintendo 64, 1997)

Everything in this game is perfect, from the beginning to the end. this game is the one game that will stay in every gamers heart. to bad EA games had to **** that all up. but still, this is the best Fps ever. and the best game based on a movie. the multiplayer was great and the story was AWESOME. it had it's times where you wanted to murder your nintendo 64, but after you beat the jungle or the temple you feel sooo good. if anyone had the balls to give this game a 8.9 or below, they better watch out. bottem line, One Of The Best Games Ever,

GoldenEye 007 is argueably the best First Person Shooter on the Nintendo 64. The only title that can compete with it is Perfect Dark, which uses the same engine. GoldenEye 007 is based off of the popular 1995 James Bond movie also entitled GoldenEye. It created quite a controversy due to propaganda spread from anti-game activists regarding the games violence. But of course this only created publicity for the game and made it even more popular. GoldenEye 007 has a wonderful 1-Player mode, but has become legendary thanks to its 4-Player multiplayer mode. If you are like me you have fond memories of playing this game multiplayer against friends. Any N64 collection should include this fantastic title.

This is the definitive console shooter. It took the great elements from classic PC Shooters such as Doom and Duke Nukem and glossed them up for the greatest franchise in the film genre.

All elements of the movie are there, plus several more levels that make the game constantly changing and fun. And the multiplayer has been the template for all shooters since and YET it still remains unsurpassed.

There has never been a Bond game as cool is this one until recently, when From Russia With Love debuted some months ago. However, there is only one Goldeneye, and everyone who knows its greatness should own it.

The missoins are fun, the multiplayer is awesome, the weapons are unbelivable, this game is a must have!

By far the best N64 shooter, arguably the best console shooter to this day. The missions are well thought out and extremely fun. The multiplayer tops it off - probably the second best multiplayer only to its successor "Perfect Dark". If you don't own this game, get it.

My 82 year old (ex-)Architect father has alzheimers. He spends hours playing on his nintendo 64 using the James Bond game. Important note: for years he told us what a waste of time video games were...now he lives for one! Go figure! We have tried giving him all of the new machines and updated games to no avail it has to be nintendo 64 & james bond. We were visiting him for a couple of weeks and it came time for us to leave for home. We told him we were leaving in the morning...so that night he packed up some of his things thinking he was leaving, not us. We explained a couple of times that he was not leaving, we were. The next morning we could not find, and still have not found, his small packed bag. One of the items he packed was his 007 game cartridge. If it had not been for ebay, I do not know what we would have done. The retail game stores no longer carry new or used nintendo 64 games. He drove my mother crazy telling her every 30 minutes someone has broken in an taken his game. I checked ebay, and of course found a 007 game cartridge which was new! A simple buy it now using paypal and in 3 days things were looking up! Now he is happy playing 007 and doing jigsaw puzzles. But most of all, my mother is thankful that ebay had what we needed and when we needed it! Thanks ebay.

Goldeneye 007 for the N-64 is by far the best shooter of all time! You have the classic elements of ducking, opening doors, multiple weapons (and single shot weapons GO GOLD GUN), and off weapons like grenades.

It is by far an incredible shooter. There is multiple levels and weapons. Heck, you can even play a game in slapping mode (no weapons!) or you can use the moonraker laser guns!

You can unlock weapons and characters from the GoldenEye movie and movies from the entire Bond universe. NOthing like running around as Jaws only to not SEE your enemies shoot you because you are to darn big!

I became so good at this game my friends refused to even play it in multiplayer with me! I love that single shot golden gun.

Goldeneye 64 is a great game if you love to shoot. I call it N64's Masterpiece. There is no other game in the N64 line-up that comes close. This game is a must have for anyone with an N64. And if you don't have an N64 system, I'd just get it for this game alone. Very realistic! Fun to complete the missions.

By far the best FPS in existance! This is waht started the craze in FPS! If you have played Halo, and everyone has, this is the Halo for the N64! Also awesome for multiplayers as it will make hours seem like a matter of minutes! Pick up a copy today!

I played this to get me through college, and here I am 10 years later playing it again, and still loving it. Now my boys are taking me on in the multi-player challenges. It's a legend.

I liked the pricing and the shipping for the game. It is a classic N64 game, and I needed it fast and it was here fast. And best of all the games actually works and it fully playable!

Really fun 1st person shooter, and really fun multiplayer. Has many different types of weapons set you can choose from, including the infamous golden gun. This game is really advanced for its time.

This game is still as awesome as it was years ago. I bought it because I wanted some old school great games and this is one of the best. Everyone should own a copy of this.

This is a must have for any N64 players or collectors. Goldeneye is proof that first-person shooters could work and work well on consules, and not just the PC. The game is based off of the James Bond movie of the same name, but some additional content was added to the game to increase the length. Your standard guns and explosives that are common in first-person shooters are there as well as gadgets that were made famous in James Bond movies. The controls handle very well with the N64 controller and moving around, shooting, and aiming are reltively easy. The graphics may be outdated by todays standards, but they were top notch for their day, and pushed the limits of the N64 system. One of the best parts of the game is the multi-player. Up to four people can play and choose from several characters made famous in James Bond movies, not just Goldeneye. There are so many options and weapons to choose from, you could spend hours playing with your friends and not go through them all. Only the multi-player in Perfect Dark, Goldeneyes sucessor, has more content. All in all, if you enjoy these types of games, still play with an N64 or even if you are a collector, Goodeneye is a great and classic game to have around.
