Henry Fonda's last performance is a good one--

In this film, Ethel and Norman (played by Katharine Hepburn and Henry Fonda), are at their summer home. Norman is an old "coot", as Ethel calls him, and soon enough we discover just how stubborn and cranky he is. Nothing seems to scratch his surface, including a visit by his daughter, Chelsea.
The film is realistic in its portrayal of family life and its difficulties, and it also deals with the issues of aging parents and difficult family dynamics. What's interesting to note is that some of the same issues were parallels in the Fonda family, so it has been said that some of the acting in fact displayed real emotions. This was Henry Fonda's last perfomance before his death; he received an Oscar for it.
Although not at all a happy-go lucky movie, it is a good one to watch and think about.
