The Golden Girls - The Complete First Season (DVD, 2004)

I love this series as a whole, so I was extremely excited to get the first season as a gift. I am now trying to get all of the other seasons. There are 25 episodes on the three DVD's for this season and all of them are a hoot. It's especially interesting to see how the show was when it first started and then compare it to the later shows. Even the set appearance changes in small ways. Anyway, if you like the Golden Girls, you'll love having this series on DVD.

I bought it for my husband because he loved this show when it was on TV and he watches all the reruns when they are on TV. I hope there are more of these old series put on DVD. I bought it because it was alot cheaper than anywhere else.

this show is so funny! kind of gives you insight into your golden years. my children are in thier early to late twenties and they love this show as much as i do. if you like comedy you'll love this dvd set.

This is the best show ever!! The Golden girls ran from 1985-1992 and, now they have finally put it on DVD. Season 1 is great with the first epsoide "The Engagment(the pilot)" and 24 more. When you buy this you'll absoulty LOVE it and, it's was worth the money. Also Season 2 is now out and, Season 3 will come out November 22, 2005!!

When I was young I used to watch this show with my Dad. I thought it was funny then and after buying Season 1 and watching it, I find it just as funny now. All 4 women are terrific in their roles and the jokes are still fresh and timely. What I really love is when you see or hear something mentioned that isn't around anymore, the nostalgia factor is great.
I highly recommend this!

If you like dry, silly, and quick humor, you will want season 1 of the Golden Girls. It's one of those DVDs you can watch again and again and again.

I waited almost three months and it finally arrived...even after the Ebay member became a nonregistered member, (yes, miracles happen!) It was well worth the wait. It did come from another country which I did not know until I was presented with the payment information. But it is high quality and I laughed myself to sleep watching it the other night. All episodes are included in this first series. You can't go wrong with this set as a whole. My only recommendation to propective buyer is to look at the sellers feedback. Ask questions about country of origin and make sure you know what you are really getting, and that seller has them *in hand*!

I'm sure that this DVD of the Golden Girls is a funny and well put together collection. But I will never know that. I purchased a copy of it here, paid by money order, and NEVER received it. Seems like the seller had a scam going on. E-bay has done NOTHING for me to resolve the problem. So, someone else will have to let us know how good the Golden Girls Season 1 was. Thanks.......

great comedy...fun to see how differnt lives mesh when four elder women try to live together under one roof each with their own distinct personalities..can watch over again and again

I love the Golden Girls show! It covers many different vast subjects but allways presents them in a truthfull way! It also shows you the lighter side of life and that you can allways laugh at yourself if you want to!

This show is awsome, when I was growing up in the 80's and 90's I thought this really bad, now it I find it extremly funny and witty
