Golden Eagle book soars.
This is a wonderfully comprehensive book about the lesser known of the two eagle species endemic to North America. The text is informative and a delightful read with anecdotes from the author. The photography is exquisite and does an outstanding job of chronicling the life of a Golden Eagle. I only wish there were more photos of these kings of the sky.
The only part of this book I was not as enthusiastic about was the blurb on the eagle's importance in the Native American culture. While the rest of the book provides thoroughly detailed description of the life of a Golden Eagle this chapter seemed too elementary and pedestrian. The importance of the Golden Eagle to the various Indigenous nations cannot be properly conveyed with this cursory glimpse.
Just the same, I would certainly recommend this book to others.
