When I heard of this anime I thought that it was going to be something really stupid and that I would hate it. It's actually pretty good and it had me laughing so hard.
This is not something that children should watch. It is for adults!!! Each episode he learns something new, helps others, and we get a good laugh out of his adventures.
He had finished everything for college, but decided not to get his degree. Instead he hops on his bike and wants to learn life's lessons by going out and doing the jobs himself.
Possible Spoiler
There's a scene in the first episode where he has to clean a bathroom. He's cleaning the toilet and starts bowing down to it calling it a throne and saying, "Yes you're highness."
This is not something that children should watch. It is for adults!!! Each episode he learns something new, helps others, and we get a good laugh out of his adventures.

I purchased this because i had originally watched the series and wanted to have the boxset so that i could enjoy it whenever. It is six episode anime about a young man named Kintaro who travels around on his bicycle taking part time jobs in various different areas. The great thing about teh anime is teh pererted sense of humor that the anime is based around, Kintaro is constantly encountering beautiful women and the things that occur while he is with them. Definitely intended for the 16+ age range with lots of laughs. I honestly find nothing wrong with the anime at all. Even the english voice actors used in the anime are very well done and fit the characters perfectly.

one of the funniest anime ever made! and beautiful animation. i recommend the english dub, the voices fit perfectly, especially the main character. no matter how old it gets, it will still become a favorite to many new viewers. also, this is definitely NOT for children. very adult themes throughout. but in a smart and entertaining way. not just plain perversion like many of todays mature anime. like i said, a comedy classic.

Okay... This is a story of an ex-college student turned student-of-life. He's a genious, but at the same time quite stoopid (mostly inexperienced, really). The story has a lot of lusty characters, but not a complete porno... still NOT for children. Maybe more for older highschool students, or college students.
let's first list what it has going for it:
1. An excellent old-school animation style
2. Unique situations and nice plot twists (at least for the first few episodes, until it becomes predictible)
3. The main character is kind, brave, gutsy, and is a "genius" of sorts
4. Nice sounding female voice actresses
5. The main character is quite entertaining
6. Great looking women...
Now let's list downsides:
1. Some of the scenes may look quaint to viewers used to extra-bright 3d rendered animation
2. Although there is usually a big twist in each episode's story, sometimes it goes way too predictably
3. The main character is a horny, pervy young ex-college student (this gets really annoying after a while)
4. The main character acts like a screw-up because of all his inexperience
5. The english voice actor for the main character is a bit too high-pitched most of the time
6. The women are a bit TOO HOT sometimes...
Still, it's an overall enjoyable series.
