Movie Description The Hell's Angels, riding a wave of notoriety helped along by the counterculture's embrace of these outlaws, made a number of films in the late 1960s and early 1970s. HELL'S ANGELS '69 stars Ralph "Sonny" Barger, the infamous leader of the Oakland chapter of the Angels, and is a fairly standard B movie about a couple of criminals who join the Angels as a front as the plan to rob a casino. THE LOSERS, however, is a surreal movie that finds the CIA recruiting the Hell's Angels to rescue the president's chief advisor from Cambodian nationals. Taking their trusty Harleys into combat with them, the Angels set about cracking some heads for the US. Vastly entertaining period films, HELL'S ANGELS '69 and THE LOSERS also provide a fascinating look at the biker culture of that time.
