It's a fantasy, a mystery, a comedy, a satire, a Joy!!!
If you like fantasy, wry humor, excellent character development, and reading that makes you laugh out loud, then you probably already know about Terry Pratchett. . . .and there is nothing much to say as this book is more greatness
from the master.
If you don't know about Terry Pratchett, this is about book 20 of the Disk World series that he has been writing/developing for over 20 years. The first couple of books in the series didn't impress my husband (or so he said) but he's been reading the series non-stop for about 2 months now to the exclusion of all else!! Now, he's even willing to admitt that he's addicted. :)
If J. K. Rowling and Mark Twain had produced a child (hey, Stephen Hawkings says time trave is possible, so who am I to argue) it would be Terry Pratchett. Being a British author he's not as well known in the U.S., but has a cult like following even here. I got hooked after one of his books was loaned to me by a friend who said "OH MY GOD! YOU HAVEN'T READ TERRY PRATCHETT?!"
Many compare him to Douglas Adams of "Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" Fame, but Terry Prachett is funnier and just keeps getting better and better.
