The selections on this Dr. John CD should be required listening for anyone planning a trip to The Big Easy. If this disc doesn't get you ready mind body and soul for an outrageous experience in NOLA nothing will. This music makes you feel like you are a part of the musical history of the Crescent City. This collection is an absolute tribute from Dr. John to the roots of the music and city he loves.

) Probabaly one of Dr. Johns best works. From the chant style melody of Litanie Des Saints to the very well re-do of the funny song, "How come my dog don't bark..." To the title track "Goin Back To New Orleans", which seems to come out flowing so easy.
