Godzilla Continues His Path of Destruction

Let me first say that only Godzilla FANS should review Godzilla movies. Let's face it, someone who is an outside to this cult will clearly dub it as stupid, poorly executed and cheesy - Godzilla fans know this and that's part of the fun. The Godzilla 2000 series, which this movie is from, reinvented Godzilla. He was no longer the cheesy super hero who saved Japan from aliens or monsters, but the destructive powerhouse he originally was. This movie was alright, but as a long time Godzilla fan, I can't look at this version of Mechagodzilla and enjoy it, because the original was an evil, alien controlled robot. The movie is still enjoyable for those who like Godzilla and collect the movies. Although, after watching it several times, I feel like there's a slightl loop hole in the story...still a decent watch...IF you're a Godzilla fan. If you're not, just stay away, rather than tell us how fake looking and cheesy it is. The myth of Godzilla remains a strong thread in sci-fi/monster culture. While this movie isn't the best in the entire Godzilla cinema series, it's still a must see for Godzilla fans - especially those who were fans of the old movies - you'll enjoy witnessing the transitions and differences.
