Although somewhat slow-moving at the beginning, Gods and Generals is an excellent depiction of life in the army, and specifically of Stonewall Jackson, Robert E. Lee, and Lawrence Chamberlain. Ron Maxwell did an excellent job casting. Stephen Lang's performance is stunning, as is that of Cali Rocha as Mrs. Jackson. A wonderful movie for any Civil War lover!
