God's Smuggler

This is a very exciting true adventure story. It is the story of a poor Dutch boy, who grows up during the occupation of The Netherlands by the Nazi troops. It tells how he learned to survive and avoid being drafted. And then, after the war, he joined the Dutch troops, in their war against Indonesian independence. He comes out of the war, scarred in body and mind.
But, as if all that weren't enough adventure, the rest of the book tells how this crippled soldier learned to heal. To get out of depression, accept redemption, and how he went on to travel all over the world to aide millions of Christians by smuggling Bibles into first communist nations and now Islamic nations.
I could hardly put the book down. It is very exciting. It shows that when you trust God, you don't have to lead a boring existance! God uses those who love adventure and danger. The Bible says, "I know the plans I have for you. Plans for good, not evil". This book is the story of one adventurer, who found out that God could and would make all his childhood dreams come true, even if he were a crippled, depressed soldier, suffering from Post traumatic Stress sydrome.
