The Godfather: The Don's Edition (Playstation 3, 2007)

This game is quite fun and will entertain you for hours. It has a main story, but there are a lot of opportunites for side missions. You main mission is to rise up through the ranks of your mob family. There are several main story missions where you have to drive and knock off people to advance. You can also take over enemy gang controlled areas (bars and stores) to gain more turf. Your eventual goal is to become the Don of the family. You don't have to take over all the enemy controlled areas to achieve this, but it is fun. Throughout the game you are paid for achievements. With this money you can buy better weapons and other things to help you. This game is very entertaining with great graphics. It will keep you entertained for a long time.

Did you like grand theft auto? Do you like the Godfather? If you answered yes to both questions, buy this game. I didnt really like the pace in grand theft auto, in the Godfather, it moves along at a great pace. I beat the game without the desire of using any cheat codes. The story is taken from the movie and the book, so you get immerssed into the world of the Godfather. The score is great, mobface, allows you to create a look for your character, so you can get close to getting your face in the game. The controls for driving are great, the fighting good, the strangling top notch, and over 20 execution styles. Your character is upgradable along with your weapons. Have fun with extortion, racketeering, negotiating, contracting hits, and so much more. The gunplay takes some getting used to, but works well in a fast fire-fight. Oh did I mention the bribing of cops, cheifs and FBI. Create your own mob wars and move into the family and work your way up to the Don. Earn respect and build your character to be a lean mean killing machine. You can even change clothing. EA took GTA and Paramont took Godfather and had a beautiful kid. Get this game today. I don`t rate to many games a 5 but this gets a 5. Just like the movie`s "The Godfather". It has all the settings, story, and action, and I mean action. You wil play this for hours at a time. This is one of the best games that you can buy. Say for $23.00 or less. This game diffently keeps you going. It is hard to put down. The whole game is set in the time period and the style of the game is the same. Its great. You will love this game.

I love The Godfather game!! The Don's edition however is the only way to go! You have more mini missions and extras that do not come in the standard game. It is a very enjoyable game with a main story line and small sub missions. Its extremely fun because you are not pressured into following the main story line...you can do whatever you like in the time frame YOU want. Also, it is loaded with action. Great Game overall

love the game it is fun and it seems like it never ends. This game is very brutal and you can do everything from buying guns and going to clubs to shooting people. I would not recommend to kids under the age of 16. It is very out there.

It fits best with the movie, and I can virtually relive the true experience of The Godfather. I love this game, it is certainly a classic.

The game is very fun to play. One of the first games a played for ps3 that allows you to use sixaxis to attack oppnents.The story line is good, and sort of keeps you on your toes on your climb to don. Graphics are pretty good. Another thing i liked about this game is the fact that you can bribe off the police and make businesses pay for protection. I like the godfather whole mafia background, so i purchased this game.

Good design! Its always good to be in place in a classic of the movies. Several hours of fun. Buy and play it.

I bought this because a friend has it on "her" X-Box, well she has The Godfather not "the Dons edition". Without a doubt get "The Dons Edition" It has so many more features than the basic game...note X-Box dosen't have this kickbutt edition only the PS3.

Get the game and it will give you 60 hours of missions to complete. You have a lot of driving to do but it gives you the choice to complete missions within missions with no time limits. If tou like the GTA games then get this.
PS I play everyting on my 52" samsung TOC flatscreen my charters are always 18" tall and you can see for miles. this really helps when playing Call of Duty.
