When God Winks

This modest little book is a profound yet readable writing on the subject of human destiny, destined itself to become a cherished classic not only in literature, but also in the fields of psychology, religion, and education at every level. The author's disarmingly personal narrative compels the reader to join in journeys of self-reflections by both famous and ordinary folks who have found their life's paths strewn with "unpredictable" (or God-created, for those readers so inclined to think in those terms) turning points that result in every person being where and what they are at every point in time. But the book is more than a look over the shoulders of others, to be shrugged off when the last page is read. If the reader will accept the author's suggestion to actually write down the reader's own history of the "happenstances" (good and bad) that altered and shaped his or her life this book suddenly becomes hugely important! Indeed, when actually having done this, one will realize with certainty from that point on life will never be the same! The key is recognizing "God winks" when they happen and for what they actually are, so one need not only go along for the ride in the new direction, but be energized and empowered by the very Force behind it! Affirming conclusively that even in the greatest sadness lay the seeds for a greater gladness, this book is a joy to read and re-read. You will keep this gem no farther than a night stand away - even though you will certainly find yourself wanting to pass it on again and again... and again!
