God Save the Sweet Potato Queens by Jill Conner Browne (2001, Paperback, Illustrated)

The "Box of Love" is comprised of Jill's first three books....all terribly witty and sublimely funny......I mean laugh out loud all by yourself, fall on the floor laughing, FUNNY. I highly recommend all her works but only if you are looking for a good time. They aren't for the faint of heart, nor for people who have a negative, pessimistic attitude toward life. I bought God Save The Sweet Potato Queens because I had read two others by Ms. Browne. I like her easy way of writing, which is probably identical to the way she talks. She makes her points without being insulting, as she is just offering her perspective and opinions about her life and anyone else's life and how to make it fun and interesting and, well, Queenly. She has no illusions about anything, and I have finished each and every book of hers feeling good about myself and life.

Co-worker told me about the Queens, so I checked e-bay first. I found two and bought them. Read them as soon as possible, laughing all the way.
Very fun reads! Highly recommend!

The fact it is in color keeps a person interested in the learning process. I have 2 of this book, one in my car and one in the house.
