The Goal by Eliyashu M. Goldratt, Jeff Cox (1993, Audio Cassette)

Excellent book and still applicable after 20 years. Although the author teaches his "management lessons" through a fictional story about a manufacturing shop manager, the theories he teaches are just as applicable today to managing a software development organization in my opinion. If you are a project manager, you'd also appreciate this book and the author's concept of "Critical Chain Management" which is basically analogous to Critical Path Management. I'd highly recommend this book...
