Goal! The Dream Begins (DVD, 2006)

This is a very dramatic movie. A young boy and his family living in poverty move from Mexico to Los Angeles. He was only 10 at the time and helped his dad and crew with gardening. His favorite sport was Soccer and every moment and chance he got, he played and practiced. At the age of 20 he is working multiple jobs and wants to be a soccer player. He travels to try out on a team and just isn't cut out for it. He goes to a professional field and kicks a few goals in and a visiting coach happened to be around and had seen the potential in Santiago. You will find this to be an emotional movie.

This product was shipped fast and and arrived quickly. As soon as I ordered it, it was on the way. I could not have asked for better service. The DVD works perfect even thought there is no case, which I thought was wierd but the DVD was like new.

DVD was in mint shape. This was exactly what I wanted. The DVD is a great movie that I enjoyed to watch and will continue watching for quite sometime. It's a clasic

Loved the whole story about him being an illegal who snuck into the U.S. and play club soccer in L.A. and be spotted and he goes to England to play for Newcastle United and scores the goal against Liverpool on a free kick to put them in the Champions League...great cast all around for sure!

The seller offers a great line of products for a consumers that loves Movies and I really appreaciate the wide line of options. I will say that if the seller could look into adding more on the Movie side by genere and different artist and subject matter dealing with different periods or interest it would be great to continue shopping with seller for a long time.

i like the story about the latin men and the destiny in the word of the soccer. The survivor in the word of fame,money ,womens and the transformation of the people.

Great movie, saw the first one, great story with a good message while the acting was wonderful. Also the guest appearances were awesome!!!!!!!!!!!

What a great movie of triumph. Just love those movies that show an individual triumph over so many odds. Very good acting and great scenery. Very enjoyable for the whole family.

Some parts of the movie is a little corny but i wouldn't take that consideration in not watching the movie. Its a great movie, inspirational! It a good movie for young kids to realize that dreams come true if you keep it up, work hard it getting your dreams come true, and never let anything stop you. Its an awesome movie, cant stop talking about it. I haven't seen number 2 yet, im hoping netflix has it to rent.

For a modern version of "David vs. Goliath", this story about a young aspiring soccer player getting a once in a lifetime opportunity to play for the English football leagues just grabs at your heart strings with every trial and tribulation young Santiago Munez (Kuno Becker) faces from his "nose to the grindstone" unsupporting father to going to a foreign land and learning he is not the superstar player he was at the local pick up games in Los Angeles. This well casted script and realistic challenges for this young hopeful keeps you wanting more for him around every turn to the point of rooting for him to the end.

great soccer movie which shows what it take to compete at the highest level in soccer. love watching the behind the scenes as it shows how they made the movie look like the actors were really part of the match! i can't wait for the next movie to come out later this year. hey ladies - there is a brief scene with DAVID BECKHAM IN IT. don't blink or you will miss him!

My son had heard about this movie and wanted it. We couldn't find it in stores here so I looked it up on ebay. I didn't get to watch it yet but my son did and he said it was a good movie.

Very good family movie that even "the boys" would enjoy. The story line is a litle predictable and typical but it is exzciting and you cannot help but cheer for this young fellow. Also, a very good father-son movie to watch.

I bought this movie for my 13 year old son who loves the game of soccer. It was a great movie about pursuing your dreams no matter what others may say. I don't recall any profanity or sexual content which is great when screening movies for teens. There wasn't anything I didn't like about the movie.

I rented it and immediately loved the movie. It is like the movie Rudy.Great story line and a feel good movie.I recommend this movie for everyone, not just sport lovers. You'll want to watch more than once, trust me:O)
