This is a great CD. Very good funk,groove stuff ala Beastie Boys - In Sound from way out. MMW aren't too jammy, which is good - Buy it today, great reserved cool guitar runs and exceptional execution by the rhythm section

Here are my favorite things about "A Go Go":
Scofield and Medeski Martin and Woods sound inspired by each other. They sound spontaneous, happy, and "in the moment". And yet, unlike some recordings in this genre, including other Scofield or MMW recordings, the performances very accessible.
The compositions are a lot of fun. I'm a musician and I've enjoyed playing along and learning these songs.
The recording itself is a joy. These guys all care about the tone of their instruments and squeeze a lot of meaning out of how each note sounds, and their performances are recorded very well on this CD.
I heartily recommend this album!
