This was a great no, excellent movie that shows how life really is and not sugar coat the problems of our society. It is sad to say that this problem still exists, but we can learn from this and live together as one (the human race). This movie has a deeper message other than breaking the race barrier, there was no profanity that is associated with Black men and women taking on leading roles. I was amazed finally a movie to show our children without ff or skipping scenes. A class act and if we a people could see the big picture, that we all live on one planet and have to get along. Look at what is happenning to the family of our day or should I say what's left of the so-called family, we need commercials to tell us to eat together as a family and communicate, so sad and look at the product of the disfunctional family, drug use on a scale that it doesn't surprise us to hear of a 10yr old taking crystal meth or killing, raping or drinking. Look at this DVD of Glory Road for a deeper message and apply what it stood for Love, Togetherness and Devotion. We look at ourselves as being the more sophisticated society, then splatter the media with scenes of mass killings of people strapping bombs to a car, themselves or worst yet a small child and we say we believe in God (in this movie they prayed together asking for the strength to make it through whatever trials that lay ahead of them) even if you don't believe in God or religion, try to find a bible and just read 1st Peter 4:1-6; 1st John 1:9-11; 4:1-21; 1st Corinthians 13:1-8 and these last 2 are in front of the UN (United Nations)building with a statue and the words of Isaiah 2:4 and Micah 4:3,4, now if we could follow and live our lives as the words in the bible speak we would not see 2nd Timothy 3:1-5. Now if we made more movies like this and the title speaks volumes "GLORY ROAD" hats off to all who played a role in making this film, for every great film like this there are 1000 or more that are depicting every negative aspect of society, drugs, murder, rape, child pronography, sadistic horror flixs, hate and the list goes on and on. GLORY ROAD should win an award, but it is not violent enough, bloody, sexual or not enough profanity. There are so many things in life that are positive and beautiful for our children to watch and learn from, I hope that directors, writers and actors and actresses stand up and demand a better quality of movies instead of quantities and money. GLORY ROAD a very rare film, thank you for the positive, clean and upbuilding movie.
