The book isn't just a pattern book, it is a book with the stories of how Kaffe fell in love with designing needlepoint items, how he was inspired for the pieces and why they touched his design sense. There are designs for lampshades, rugs, place mats and other items. They range from heads of cabbage to tigers. All are very clearly graphed with the information on how you can best make them up.
I wouldn't have bought it if I had been able to see inside, but it goes with my other Fassett books and so has a welcome place in my craft library. Don't think it will stay there very long though, it's just not what I care for.

) This needlepoint book is hard to find and it is loaded with great patterns, information on designs, and the displays are in wonderful color. I had this book and it got destroyed in moving and I was very happy to replace it. The book is in like-new condition.
