very nice GPS

I purchased this item used.
I am using it with my Treo 680 and TomTom software (ver. 6) since Google maps do not support Bluetooth GPS.
I used before Delorme Blue Logger and this is definitelly step up. Even though it does not support logging (saving the position in pre-determined intervals for later retrieval), it last much, much longer.
I used it recently on a trip from Sacramento to Montana, and it seems to last easily 12-14 hours. It lasted a whole day of travel and about half the next day. The nice thing about the power useage is that once it loses Bluetooth connection it powers itself off in about 5-10 minutes. So if you forget to turn it off after you stop at the campground, it does not drain itself overnight. But while in Bluetooth connection, it does not turn itself off.
The only problem I had with the unit is that in longe trips (over ten hours) the GPS portion seems to go haywire. I would start getting nonsensical location, bearing and speed. Turning off and on the unit would resolve the issue. It happened to me twice now and always after at least 6-10 hours on the road. Since I purchased the unit used, I am not sure if it is general problem, or problem of my particular item.
The battery life is definite plus and I like the small size and sturdiness of the unit.
