I've followed Glenn's career for several years and I am so glad that he wrote this book. I saw where he said (on t.v.) that he doubted that he was really going to go through with writing this book because of all the criticism he knew it would cause him to take. In this new book, "Common Sense" he blasts both Republican's and Democrat's equally and with vigor using a modern interpretation of Thomas Paines' early historical writings "Common Sense". Glenn gives page after page and example after example of how our Founding Father's (mostly in their own words from documented writings) meant America to be one thing, traveling down one direction, only to be hijacked repeatedly by 20th century (and now 21st century) politicians who seem to be taking us away from our founding documents and principles. The book is a quick read, and a good history lesson for those who are willing to listen. Please don't just believe the hype, or sometimes the negative press about Glenn, he at times may come off a bit odd but the man uses historically accurate points in a modern way to help generate debate (and in my humble opinion to try and get American's to think for themselves instead of parroting some media outlet's views and beliefs). If your willing to give this book a chance you'll be amazed at how well written it is, and how much historical information you'll pick up in such a quick reading book.

This book is an easy read. I read the first 105 pages in one day. I read 57 pages before I took a pen and 'starred' paragraphs that I wanted others to read. Then just to make sure that I could find the passages easily, I circled the page number. Our country is on the brink of socialism. As Glenn Beck said in his book "Common Sense", it's like they keep firing one thing after another at us, change this law, anything to distract us from what the original 'change' was. We, the people, didn't vote for TARP. We, the people, don't want higher taxes. But we are hearing about the possiblility of our health benefits paid by our employers being taxed. How can a president of a country bow before another county leader? How can we be asked to
volunteer' for our country? There are volunteers helping others. We just don't need to be singled out by anyone just to prove that we are volunteering. We are citizens of the United States of America. I want our government to follow the law of the Constitution. Our Bill of Rights are not negotiable. Our Constitution is not negotiable. Wake up America! Stand up and be counted. Support our Constitution and those who adhere to it. Those who do not, VOTE them OUT of office. I don't want change. For the sake of future FREE generations, keep talking, questioning, and watching your elected officials. If you want to be informed about our country's politics read "Common Sense". Sign the inside cover and pass it around. See how many people think it's important enough for our future to read and stand up and take our country back!

Glenn tells it like it really is in this book. No one, and i repeat, NO ONE, will tell the truth anymore. All the lies, hypocracy, and illegal tactics that are being hidden from us are right here in black and white. This is a powerful and honest expression of what it truly means to be an American. This is a must read! Curious minds want to know.

Excellent book, folks out there need to wake up, our country is going down the tubes. It makes no matter which party, Dems or Reps, they have lost touch with us and they are not looking for it!!! We need to get our country back, and this book points out short coming on both sides, it is fairly current as book can be. Excellent read/

A great, very basic way to help put America back onto the RIGHT track. A very fast and easy read to give you some knowledge of how you can stand up and fight back against an out of control government. The biggest point made in this book is a reminder of what so many people seem to forget these days: Your government is there to work for you. You do not work for them. Use your voice and your vote to give America back to the people, and away from BIG GOVERNMENT!!

Our country and our liberties are degrading at an alarming rate, and it is the democrats AND republicans in Washington causing it. The system has been perverted from it's original design of temporary service to career politicans of BOTH parties doing whatever it takes to keep them in office. If every voting American read this book, we could clean Washington out and start all over. I challenge especially every democrat whose been taught Glenn Beck is a radical weirdo to read this book. If you feel you have an open mind to what you may think is an opposing point of view, and feel mentally capable of recognizing BS when you see it, READ THIS BOOK! You have absloutely nothing to lose, and possibly everything to gain.

the perfect book at the the perfect time,with the fascist policys that this administration are trying to force feed us, we need more patriots to stand up against this takeover of our freedoms. as a vietnam vet it has made me ill to see what is going on with this anti-god abortion loving democrat controlled govt. i do worry about glenn and hannity's safety, people that speak their mind under this president are in danger of being taken off of the air or worse!we fought a war against this european style of socialism that is now going on while people sleep and think what can i do? WAKE UP i changed political parties and now work against both parties.i will never vote for an incumbent republican or democrat unless i check their voting record. the bush administration started this govt. takeover and bailout of private companys, LET THEM FAIL and then start over WITHOUT the horrible union demands, the unions destroyed europe and they are close to the same thing here. as glenn says, read the book and pass it along to any of your friends that are asleep at the wheel before it is to late.GO TO MEETINGS AND NEVER NEVER FAIL TO VOTE. A very telling book of what our elected officials have done to our country. An expose of the benefits enjoyed by our public servants. I found it to be a Bi-partisian look at the corruption we have allowed. It will reaffirm what you were already thinking about our current situation.

Based on integrity, honesty and responsibility(More with the 9.12 project). Talks about the U.S. Govt. and how far off base from the founding Fathers it has become. Gives the positive NON-violent means to correct the greed and corruption with the Govt. This is a must have/read book. It ends with the original words of Thomas Paine and his Common Sense written well over two hundred years ago and still viable for today!

I loved the beginning of the book. The author fires you up to stand up for your beliefs and morals, which is great.
I read the second half of the book and it really was slower to fully understand, and slowed it down for me.
I agreed with a lot of Glenn's thoughts put into the book. I would have liked more facts.

I'm glad I got it....very insightful and well researched. I will pass it on. People need to wake up and smell the coffee early in the morning. This nation is changing right before our eyes and it's not for the better of mankind. Do your own research to see if it all adds up. IT DOESN'T! Someone is being lied to. Check out the references in the book. Every one of them is verifyable. The truth is out there and available for everyone. We can no longer say, "I didn't know"!
