Glass Hen on Nest Covered Dishes by Shirley Smith is a must have for the collector. I purchased this book becuase as a newer collector I had many questions as to maker, origin, what to buy and what not to buy, why is one color more valuable than others, etc. Shirley answers it all and much more in her book. When it came in the mail, I couldn't put it down. Now when I see a hen of interest come up on Ebay, I consult the book first before I place a bid or buy. The book is layed out according to maker and is so easy to use. I highly recommend this reference book. Many thanks to Shirley for putting so much detail into one book. You can't go wrong if you purchase this book!
