  Fun but kind of boring

I got this game hoping for a military strategy game. And that is pretty much what I got. The storlyine of the game is very simple. Also, fighting is easy enough. The only problem I see is the fact that it gets really boring really fast. I personally never finished the game.

This game has great graphics and sound effects. The story line is sort of hard to follow since it has two diffret chacter lines and glatior school. I love the way you can just do nothing but fight or you can work on the school and the fact that you can have many glatiors to fight for you.

Gladius is a long strategic role-playing game, appropriately billed as an "epic gladiatorial RPG," that lets you build up a powerful squad of gladiators, ranging from small and lithe ones on up to extremely large and powerful ones. You then equip them with a seemingly limitless variety of weapons and armor. As your warriors gain experience, you can have them learn all sorts of special abilities, and using these to their fullest potential in battle is a process that never ceases to be challenging.

The action takes place exclusively on the battlefield--and almost exclusively in organized tournament settings. The game's towns are nothing more than an interface for choosing from the various battles available in that location. The structure of the game is straightforward: You compete in leagues to earn cups; cups are earned by winning a number of matches within a league (not necessarily all of them). Once you've earned a sufficient number of cups, you may enter that town's tournament. If you win that town's tournament, you're one step closer to qualifying for the regional championship of that country.

If you're up for a deep, long-lasting, strategic gaming experience, then Gladius is perfect for you. At the heart of this game is an interesting and well-thought-out combat system, and there are so many viable combinations of characters, equipment, and skills to experiment with that this game could easily keep you busy for much longer than most games do these days.

I love this game for the simple reason that i had this game a few years ago and play this with a friend and see who could bet to the end first.
But on the game side its very long it plays like a RPG.It has great special effects and background a huge range of characters.

the bad side is you couldn't us a dark legionaire and the sound would go out regularly

Arrived quickly, and I have been enjoying this product eversince. I have searched high and low for this game, it is good to see someone who knows the classics and tries to cater to all of our electronic stimulation needs (and there accessories).
