) I personally have NOT read the book(s); gave the first 3 (in the series + the DVD) to my 12 yr old granddaughter for Christmas. She was extremely excited to receive them. She and her mom had already seen the original movie, so she knew sort of what the books will be about. Excellent way to get a 12 yr old who is becoming a teenager too quickly to read and not be on the phone!!! :-)
