Though Emile Hirsch’s acting is, at times, painful and laughable, The Girl Next Door remains a fun, entertaining movie because of the off-beat plot and the beautiful Elisha Cuthbert.

No man in this land would not fall for the girl in this movie, and we all want to be in that guys shoes that she was falling for.
Along with the classmate friends, the story starts out a little brash and crude, yet turns sweet in places, then turns into a trip into hell when the main actor finds out his new girl friend is a porn star.
They get into trouble that is funny and very situationally tense. But turns out alright for everyone in the end.

I Was very impressed with this movie. It had a rare setting (Pornstar hooking up with high school geek). It was a combination of romance and comedy. I would highly recommend this movie.

In my years in Highschool, I always heard the guys say all of those lines like, OMG if I could only get that girl. Or, when is it going to be my time. I mean come on, this is the Movie that changes all of that. It gives hope to the ones who didn't have it before, and it shows that good guys can come out ahead.
It is funny, sexy, witty, and such a fun movie to watch. The plot was a little bit on the thin side but overall I really thought the movie was a winner. I now own it and love it!!

This movie is a lot of fun. With a great cast and a great coming of age story, 'The Girl Next Door' pulls you in from the beginning and keeps you laughing & interested all the way through. If you like movies like 'Risky Business' or 'American Pie' you will absolutely love this movie. Good enough to buy but truly a must see. Adults only though so don't let the kids watch. 5/5

Love this movie! Whether you are male or female, this sexy movie will get you laughing and hoping for a happy ending (in the movie, silly!). The movie isn't like most movies - right when you thinks its over, there's another plot twist - but it isn't a thriller!

I actually bought this movie for my husband because he'd seen it before and really liked it. I decided to get it for one of his Christmas gifts. I watched it before I gave it to him because the case was damaged during shipping and I wanted to make sure the DVD wasn't. I was surprised to find myself getting lost in the story. It was very well written. The actors did a good job, as well! It definitely had some humor in it! I liked it better than a lot of other movies I've seen, especially lately. I would actually recommend this movie to a friend.

Absolutely hilarious... Great acting (funny-wise). Pretty good storyline. Great intro! Makes you think back to your high school days. Not a "family film", and may want to put the "little ones" to bed. But all around Good movie! Love it!

worth a watchit was a decent movie. if you go to the special features menu, and go to the gag reel (i think it;s the gag reel, it may be a different option), but go to the Gag reel, and hit right on your remote (you may have to hit right 2 times) and hidden easter egg, of a sex education video from like the 70s. it's pretty funny
