Ginseng Woman was a huge album in it's day, but to listen to it today, one is reminded that this was done at the heights of disco. The songs are good and the band is an awesome array of jazz artists. Sara Smile was a nice arrangement, but that's only the "Ginseng Woman" part of the CD. Multiplication just seems to be Eric's swan song. It seems to be rushed or put together hastily and it seems that Eric either ran out of things to say (from a music perspective) or ways to say it. This portion of the CD seems to drag on forever, BUT because Ginseng Woman is pretty good, I can't bring myself to down thumb the whole effort. If you don't mind disco beats with jazz arrangements (ala George Benson etc) than you can stomach this.
