People often mistake Independence Inn's manager, headstrong single mom Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and her equally willful teenage daughter, Rory (Alexis Bledel) for sisters. Lorelai and Rory cope with the same emotional ups and downs, including Lorelai's overbearing, old-money parents and the joys and frustrations of the male gender. But when Rory's attention turns from dreams of private school and Harvard to thoughts of boys and adolescent self-reliance, single mom Lorelai begins noticing more of her own rebellious youth-only 16 years ago-in Rory. This heartfelt, humorous drama appeals to young and old alike with its blend of traditional family issues and hip, contemporary attitude. Gilmor Girls is the best TV show i have even seen. It combines relashionships along with an entertaining cast that never ceases to suprise you. Enjoyable for anyone, even men.

I was very disappointed that I was told the product was available and would be shipped in time for a Christmas present. I was only notified a week before Christmas that this item was not available. Although I was refunded my money, I was counting on this being one of the gifts I planned to give out. Sadly this vendor will not be used by me again.

I LOVE Gilmore Girls and have slowly been collecting all the seasons. It has been difficult to find Season One in my local store and I thought to check on Ebay. The transaction was seemless and my DVD arrived quickly and in excellent working order. My family and I sat down to a weekend marathon! Who could ask for more -- a great purchase experience culminated by wonderful, quality family time.

This TV show is great. Lorelai & Rori are Mom and Daughter, but are more like best friends instead, & I can relate to this. This show gives you a combination of witty humor mixed with real-life drama. You will not stop laughing! The 1st, 2nd, and 3rd seasons are the best! In the 4th and 5th seasons, the show turns into a soap opera and is "dumbed" down a bit, but still fun to watch! My favorite show in a long time!
The coolest thing about Gilmore Girls is that you can watch episodes over and over again and catch on to things you missed the first time around.

Season 1 was a great DVD set-I had never seen the Gilmore Girls before-So I rented it from the local video place and I loved it so much -That I had to buy it.
If you like a sassy mom, who makes you laugh along with a daughter that is intelligent and quirky-together making a great combination.
It all depends on what you like...But at least check it out...

I bought the entire series for my daughter, Terry, because she always loved the show. I waited until the 5th seasons came out, and bought all five. It took us several nights and days to watch them before she headed back to college, but we did it, and will never forget the moments together. I've always made fun of the Gilmore Girls shows, and balked everytime she wanted to watch it. But, she asked me to watch the DVD's with her when she was home from college, and by golly, I fell in love with that show! When that show comes on now it represents one of the best times of our lives. Don't begin 5 if you haven't seen 1-4; you have to see series one and all the rest for each to make sense. We haven't watch the new season, but will purchase it when the DVD's are out and watch them together, again over college vacation. My son watched a few with us, and said, "don't tell anyone, but I like these shows too!" lol. Gilmore girls is a wonderful show. There are things about each character with which we can all identify. Lorelei is my favorite, and I wish sometimes I could've been like her, able to speak out when someone is inflicting their demands/wishes on her; as a matter of fact, it has helped me to speak up when someone is in "my space" when they shouldn't be. The only character I have not warmed up to, is the employee at the hotel, Michel. His accent sounds fake, and his character is too whinny. Rory is a favorite as well as Paris. Paris is probably one of my fav's, as you know where she stands on everything. She appears strong, but is indeed weak, and needs friends. I think if I had to say there is anything about the show that I would change it is the characters that sleep together, without benefit of marriage.

This was the final set that I needed to complete my collection for this series. All of the DVDs worked perfectly and I am so happy to have found them on ebay at the price that I did. The case however, did not fare so very well through shipping and it arrived cracked and broken.

Season 1 is absolutely adorable. There is drama, humor, and some pretty intense moments packed onto these dvds. One thing that makes the Gilmore Girls so unique are the fast-paced lines. They are funny and seem to come so naturally for Lorelai and Rory. If you are looking for a show you can't stop watching, this would be it.

I have to admit to being a closet Gilmour Girls fan .. always quick and witty .. The story of a mother and daughter facing life head on .. one never knows what will happen next ... toss in an entire sleepy town and an upper crust family and you have the makings of life with the Gilmour Girls!!

I have been looking for the first season in stores all around my area. I couldn't find it anywhere for under $40. It was great to have such great quality products for cheap, and i don't have to waste gas searching any more. I was very happy with the seller as well. I love this show it is a great store about a mother and daughter that have a great friendship and it takes place in a small town were every one knows each other and looks out for each other. my 10 year old and I loved watching it together! I bought it because I watch it more then once.
