This Gigantic Robot Kills (and sometimes just maims)
While he calls himself a rapper he really just speaks his rhymes or sings in rather unrhythmically styled fashion. Not to say that it's bad just maybe miscatagorized.
Without a doubt my favorite track on this disc is the decidedly un-rap title track This Gigantic Robot Kills which is a classic ska-core diddy assisted by Suburban Legends and the Aquabats about a boy obsessed with the 90's and third wave ska.
Followed closely by the rap metal-esque Hey There Ophelia which relates the tale of Hamlet in a more understandable and enjoyable manner than has ever been seen before.
Several other gems are catchy and memorable as well including the classic rock guitar driven "Guitar Hero Hero". The more traditional rap tracks No Logo and 35 Laurel Drive are decent. Overall though it seems like the less MC Lars tries to be a rapper the more I enjoy his stuff.
