Gigabyte Technology, a leading high-quality motherboard manufacturer, is launching the first AMD-761 main board, GA-7DX, for the next generation of computing platforms for the AMD Athlon / AMD Duron Socket A CPUs with PC2100 / PC1600 DDR200/266 (Double Date Rate) memory. Designed with the AMD-761 System Controller, GA-7DX supports AMD Athlon processor with 266/200 MHz AMD System Bus, and up to 2GB of either PC2100 DDR or PC1600 DDR200 SDRAM. PC2100 DDR266 memory doubles the data rate through reading and writing, achieving data bandwidth 2X greater than PC133 when running at the same clock frequency. With peak bandwidth of 2.1GB per second, DDR memory enables GA-7DX users to build high-performance servers, workstations and high-end PC systems.
