Pete Hamill is by far the best writer out there. He brings you back to a simpler time. Growing up and living in Brooklyn, I related to the time and place for this book. It is a story of a young man and his dad.You certainly don't have to have grown up in Brooklyn to enjoy this book. I highly recommend any book by this author.
