I auctioned on this item being that it was described as being cosmetically damaged. The neck was in fact split, thus requiring an unexpected repair, and the electronics required service, also not disclosed.
Overall, the guitar (now repaired) meets my expectations and once the visual aspect has been addressed will certainly offer years of enjoyment.
All I can say to anyone making a bid on Ebay is to ALWAYS ask a ton of redundant and ridiculous questions regarding condition, shipping process, and return policy. I am currently in the process of collecting on three insurance claims (poorly packaged), and have sent, or will be sending, another three items back to the seller as they were either damaged prior to shipping, or did not even marginally meet the the description (all within a 30-day period) (i.e, Advertised as Brand New, arriving as a old, well worn, beat-up, dirty item. Far from new...
As to this guitar, I am keeping it (even though I overpaid by about 300.00 due to omission in the description) as the arguments with the seller over this item were leading to a dispute and claim, and I'm tired of that process.
So... make certain that full disclosure has been provided, and always ask for additional photos if there is any question as to visible condition. If the seller fails to provide requested information, pass and move on. There will always be another item that will perfectly match, or even exceed your wants and/or needs.
Or, like me, fail to do so and end up spending over 700.00 on a guitar that's going to require (when all is said and done) another 700.00 in repairs. Not bad for a guitar that sells brand sparkling new for 1400.00. WOW, what a deal!
