This seller sold me a fake Gibson guitar....made in China. He even had the audacity to cut and paste a bio from the Gibson site which has to be a licensing issue. He knew this was a fake and now refuses to give me my money back.
He is a fraud.

Gibson Les Paul Standard Electric Guitar mint?
Review created: 03/09/09

I decided to buy it because the price. I love the black color of the guitar and its overall shape. What i did not like was the intonation of the guitar, something was wrong and after a deep research i finnaly found the cause of the problem within the bridge of the guitar. I did a great job and now i have a very nice instrument for a fair price. Sometimes seller has to be more honest describing the operational condition of the item. I was lucky.

The look is astonishing- the sound is unique and quite unexpected- top notch guitar. The sound has all the fullness and tone of a Les Paul with the precision and clarity of a Rickenbacker- if you are lucky enough to find one (and I mean that- they are very rare) don't hesitate.

(non chambered, maple top, 60's neck type, gibson deluxe tuners, tune o matic and stop bar)
This is my first Gibson (I owned an Epiphone SG..).
This guitar gives to the guitarist what he waits for; Tone, sustain, fast and easy playing and a nice piece of wood to show off :) 'wow, what a guitar!'
If you're more on acoustic or spontaneous playing, you might prefer the strat type guitars which are, imho, the best 'soul speakers'.
One wrong point (I won't talk about the weight)? The single cut... I've been playing Stratocaster and Ibanez guitars for a while and.. I really miss the DC (double cut) thing, even more than with the Telecaster!
About the neck: be sure to try, test and play both neck types before any decision. I really do prefer the flat 60's neck (remember I'm a strato player). I know some of my buddies (with long fingers or not) prefer the C shaped type... the one you find on original Gibson models.
My best guitar ever (not the cheapest I must say).
Enjoy!

2006 Gibson Les Paul Standard with 50's style neck
Review created: 10/09/09

I bought this outstanding guitar a few months ago. Not a blemish on it and it is IDENTICAL to the one selling from Gibson as the 50th Anniversary 1959 Les Paul Standard that sells for $8,504. The only difference being the pickups, and I already have a set of 57’s I could put in if I want. Also the body wasn’t drilled to put on a pick guard. That was a good thing. I found a seller of LP pick guards on E-Bay that don’t require drilling. Les Paul drilless pick guards by bobbylee2. Great product and seller too. I was leery of this seller initially because of the guy claiming he was sold a LP knock off. He was top notch with me and sold me a quality, real Les Paul at an excellent price. I would do business with this guy again.

  Gibson Les Paul Traditional Plus
Review created: 08/21/09(updated 08/21/09)

What is not to love about this beautiful guitar. This is my first Gibson! I own three Fenders which I truly love as well. I was shooting for a Custom but my budget would'nt allow it. Yet this an amazing guitar and I am very pleased I
bought it.

  Les Paul Standard Guitars

In June, I purchased 2 LP Standards from 2 different vendors.
Both guitars were appropriately priced.
I had excellent communication with both vendors
before and after the sale
Fortunately, both guitars were perfect, exactly as advertised if
not nicer. They were 5 and 6 years old respectively.
A guitar can be a tricky thing to but, even offline.
I found the vendors to be honest and outgoing.
I had purchased another instrument (guitar) from a Canadian
vendor, who was equally as pleasant, again with the same results.
People have their pros and cons about E-Bay.
I think they do an excellent job of policing themselves,I find it
to be a valuable source of information.
In addition, people are now able to purchase things in a very brief
period of time, hard to find items, rather than spending
days or weeks looking for them.
