One can spend hours going through the book and taking in all the tiny details and nuances the artist gives to his models features. A true prize within this book is a collection of plates that tell a wonderful story called "The Education of Mr. Pipp". Truely a worthy book to have in your library of referances, artists and certainly resource material. The period of the Gibson girl was pure hell for the women who had to wear the corsets and hair styles... but one cannot argue that when it comes to fashion, this period is one of the most romantic, complimentary to the feminine figure and absolutely stunning.
