Giada's Family Dinners by Giada De Laurentiis (2006, Hardcover)

All recipes are easy to understand and substitute ingredients. The book is just as great as her first one. Some of the recipes have been featured on the Food Network and are available for free on their website. But it is nice to have them all together. This would make a wonderful gift for any cook, even beginners.

I'm a big fan of her cooking show and have already tried many of her recipes with great success. This book, as with her first book, has simple, easy to follow recipes and I recommend it to anyone wanting some great Italian recipes. Everything I've tried from the book has been delicious. I bought from e-Bay because the book was a good price with reasonable shipping. The book was advertised as being available exclusively on the Food Network website but they charged full-price and, because I live in Hawaii, $35 for 2nd day air shipping. e-Bay is always a much better deal with great shipping, I think I paid around $5 for shipping on e-Bay. I highly recommend this book and using e-Bay to purchase it.

"Giada's Family Dinners" cookbook is a delight. Being of an Italian background, it was important to me to know these are recipes that are truly Italian and not just concocted in some test kitchen. Giada's cookbook has recipes that not only the experienced cook finds interesting and delicious, but that the inexperienced cook can follow, prepare, and end up with a successful finished dish. I have this book in my cookbook library and love it so much, that I also bought one for my step-daughter for Christmas. I'd highly recommend this cookbook to anyone who loves Italian food. Compared to other Italian cookbooks that I've seen over my many years of cooking, this book is top-notch

Giada does it again....this book is filled with wonderful Italian dishes that you WILL want to share with your friends and family. She gives you great ideas on what goes well together and the quantities can easily be adjusted.

I love this cookbook along with others by Giada and would recommend it to a cook of any ability level who loves good Italian food!

I've been watching Giada on the Food Network and have been preparing more and more of her recipes. This book has the best recipes; easy to follow instructions to prepare simple, but very tasty, dishes.

After checking this cookbook out from the public library, I decided to buy it. I lived in Italy for ten years & I find this receipe compilation very authentic (with only a few adjustments to the American market.) Simple attractive photos are scattered throughout the book making it even more appealing.

I love this cook book!
The recipes are pretty easy to follow.
You may have to buy a few ingredients that you don't usually have on hand but it is worth it.
I have made MANY different't dishes from this book and they have all been delicious!!
It is difficult to name which one is my favorite because they have all been GREAT!!

Giada makes Italian food so easy, simple and delicious (my husband can attest to that)! I love watching her shows and was inspired to get her cookbooks. Her ingredients are not too overwhelming, easy to find, and they are fast to make. I'm astounded that I can actually make a meal that actually looks like the picture, and tastes as good as it looks! The recipes I've made so far have been fabulous and it's so rewarding to see my family eat and enjoy the results!

This is a cookbook you could use every day. I brought this home from the library thinking I'd just find a few recipes I liked. There were too many good recipes to write down and copy, so I loaned it to my daughter. She said the same thing. I bought a copy for her for Christmas and one for me. My family is Italian and there are recipes in there that I've been looking for. The soup section is excellent, main courses are easy to prepare, yet delicious, and the dessert section is yummy. This isn't a fussy Italian cookbook where you have to search for the unusual ingredients. All the recipes are practical, yet delicious. Even if you aren't Italian, you will love this cookbook. The Italian Wedding Soup is especially good. You won't be sorry if you buy this book. If you don't believe me, check it out of the library and you'll come to the same conclusion. You must own this book!

The book is packed with great recipes and chaptered to make it easy to find deserts, grilling options or just a nice family dining meal.

When I find myself looking for an item at the local SUPER EVERYTHING STORES these days, I take a minute to also look on ebaY. I have learned that if you check for it on ebaY... chances are you can buy it cheaper (including shipping) on ebaY than at the SUPER EVERYTHING STORES. I wanted this book and priced it at 3 local stores. I found what I wanted on ebaY... MUCH CHEAPER and It is the exact SAME ITEM!! Now, I did shop around. Even on ebaY. EbaY is fun and saves me on gas driving all over town. $$$$$$ Love saving money!!!

I love the recipes, the photos of many of the dishes and the simplicty of many dishes. I decided to buy it because I love Giada's show and her cooking and my husband says she's easy on the eyes.

I bought this cookbook for my granddaughter who thinks Giada is The Best! I decided to collect her cookbooks and give them to my granddaughter for Christmas.

Giada's is one of my favorite cooks and wanted to have one of her cook books. I think she has simple meals and always cooks with a smile.

The book is in generally good condition. The only thing that I noted was that it smells like it came from a smoker's home. I could be mistaken, but there was a definite odor to it. Otherwise, the book looks great.

i like her cooking style,i dislike sellers haveing media mail because this was the first i ever knew what media mail was. and i never got the book and i dont think i should have to waste extra money for insurance we are already going threw tough times so i try to save a dollar where i can.why did i buy it well thats easy enough i wanted because she signed it that is the main reason i wanted the book in the first place.heres another thing i plain on doin i will be asking sellers which way the book comes because if they come media mail i will no longer be ordering books that way thank u have a great day

I liked the book very much-great Italian dishes, which my Husband loves!

Just wanted to make one aware that if you want to follow the recpies directly-one has to buy all kinds of gourmet (expensive) type cheeses (some hard to find locally)! The ingedients are not something one has in the kitchen as a staple!

But if you want to make a special meal for someone-this is great!

My wife and I have picked out a bunch of recipes that we are looking forward to trying out! She has been an avid fan of her show, so we figured, instead of imagining how it tasted, why not try it ourselves !
