What happens to you when you die? Perhaps you remain on Earth unable to rest in peace until you resolve all of your unfinished business. This is the sort of limbo Frank Herlihy (Greg Kinnear) finds himself in following his untimely demise on the streets of Manhattan.

Hope for completing the transition arrives the day that something goes horribly wrong during Bertram Pincus' (Ricky Gervais) routine colonoscopy, an anesthesia accident that leaves the dentist dead on the operating table for several minutes. Once revived, he can suddenly see ghosts, and this development is not lost on Frank who befriends Bertram hoping to sabotage his widow Gwen's (Tea Leoni) impending remarriage to a conniving attorney (Billy Campbell).Although Bertram is a misanthrope not inclined to do anything for anybody, he promises to help prevent her from walking down the aisle. In return, Frank agrees to keep all the other ghosts suddenly annoying Bertram at bay. However, what neither anticipates is that Bert might develop feelings for Gwen, and the love quadrangle which ensues is the hub around which Ghost Town revolves.

Great movie, some very, very funny lines. Really a very enjoyable movie, highly recommend.

It was a pleasant, but oh, so true story regarding some people. There wasn't anything I disliked regarding the DVD. The reason I purchased it was that I LOVED the DVD story.

This was a great light Movie. He is so dry and funny. You have to listen to get his fun and the story line was great for him. I love this movie it will be on my list of ones to watch right by lake house. Watch this movie it is light, funny and one you can watch again and again.

One of the most greatest ghost comedies I've ever seen since "Ghost". This movie will have you on your knees laughing! It's funnier the second time watching. Packed with hilarious jokes and crazy events, it will be sure to entertain. Surprisingly, it's even appropriate for the younger crowd. I would say it's pretty clean minus some language. This movie delivered fantastic performances and an awesome cast! MUST buy!!!

A movie about a dentist that learns a life lesson about relationships with people and turns out to be a pretty nice guy in the end,with lots of humorous things that happen and things that he does and says.Where has this guy been hiding??I have never seen him in anything before and would definatly buy more of his movies.

I was expecting more from this movie but all in all it was a pretty good "chick flick". It had a pretty interesting story line..

I thought this one was super. It's hard for a film like this to keep me laughing till the end but I found it to be surprisingly hilarious. I can see why it would get a bad rap in the states. Ricky Gervais brings his regular British comedy style to the set, something not everyone is a fan of. It's all good though. Cast, story everything is better than expected.

This movie hits the right combo with me. There's funny, without slapstick. There is sadness, dry humour, and the right mix dicovery and completion. I just really enjoyed this dvd. The seller/site? Top-shelf!! Very pleased, all the way around!

An odd,but warm,romantic comedy with some afterlife interludes. A perfect movie for date-night. We recieved our DVD quickly after ordering it (1 week).
And got a pretty good price,$10 I think. So,all-in-all, a bargain that was...
