Gex 3: The Grand Finale for a Great Hero
Review created: 05/03/09
by:

Well one thing that attracted me to Gex 3 for the Nintendo 64 was that my parents had bought me Gex Enter the Gecko when i was 5 and i played that game nearly to death and i always wondered if they had made a sequel to it until last month my Fiances lilttle brother had told me about this one so instinctively i went to ebay and found it within seconds I immediatly purchased it and waited.

Now that i have a played it this game is arguably one of the best platformers for the N64. It has linear level desing though which is one bad thing but overall it is probably the most satisfying game i have played to date.

Turn into DracuGex Without A Code

Just before you enter the level "Clueless in Seattle" you will find a painting of DracuGex. Look at it with C-Up. you will then turn into DracuGex for 30 seconds. This will help you get the bonus and paw coin across from you.

  Big Mouth, Small Gecko
Review created: 12/22/01
by: kevinduber -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
Easy to remember moves, Secrets galore, Moderate difficulty level

Cons:
Gex's witty phrases get old after a while!

Gex can run, but he can't hide. Agent Xtra and him were living the high life on a Southern Pacific Island until Rez showed up. He kidnapped Agent Xtra and took off. Now, it's up to you to guide Gex through terrible tv spinoffs and kick Rez's big metal butt. Your main headquarters is the GexCave. Here, you'll receive special briefing from the distressed Xtra, and unlock doors to new worlds. There is also a training room where you can learn and brush up with basic moves. First, there are 3 levels within the Gexcave. Collecting enough remotes will unlock Lake Placid. Then, even more remotes will.

  What's next for Gex?
Review created: 05/09/00

Pros:
great graphics, lots of fun

Cons:
none that i have found yet.

Gex 3 Deep cover gecko is a tail swinging good video game! I haven't made it too far in this game, but I'm planning to when I get a memory card! I have gotten to the first level and beat part of it! Gex 3 deep cover gecko is rated for everyone, so kids can play too! Gex is a lovable little gecko that tries to make it to next level with the player's help. Starting the game, Gex is in a winter-land with snow and iced over ponds. Santa's elves are there along with Santa, but they aren't friendly and they aren't mean. Santa and his elves are supposed to be taken care of to get to the next level!..

Pros:
Pretty friggin' good

Cons:
the camera can be a real biz-itch!

That is the first thing you hear when Gex enters the Mystery TV level. And that's just a taste of some of the wiseass remarks that this TV obsessed gecko will say as you go through your various missions. If he isn't just saying something original, he ripping off of James Bond, Star Trek, Star Wars, Willy Wonka, Austin Powers, or even Austin Powers ripping off of Jerry Maguire ("Show me the money baby, yeah!"). But, sadly, humor doesn't make a game fun. Sure, it makes a game funny, but that's different from being fun. Honestly, the one thing that I have a problem with in this game is the...

Why have a Gecko as a Superhero?
Review created: 11/26/99
by: Otterizer -- a member of Epinions

Pros:
The intro music sounds kinda cool

Cons:
The rest of the game sucks

Gex 3: Deep Cover Gecko is the latest incarnation of a not-so-popular series by Crave Entertainment. Gex must run through worlds and collect little trinkets to get points, lives, etc, and eventually win. The graphics in this game are sub-par to Mario 64. The enemies move rigidly, and are not lifelike at all. And, the actual game worlds seem to have to personality at all. Unlike Banjo Kazooie or Zelda 64, everything is bland and "dark". Gameplay is another fault. Especially when you have a camera that moves around constantly, and even moves behind things so you can't even see your own...
