Reviews Review created: 05/25/08 by: I first heard about this book and it's author on the Oprah show. Immediately I was intrigued and went searching for my own copy of the book. As soon as I received the copy I bought online, I started reading and although somewhat skeptical regarding the theories presented by the author, I found this to be an excellent read. I believe I learned a lot about why we choose the intimate partners that we do and why ultimately "true love" almost always disintegrates into a power struggle between the two. The last section of the book even provides the exercises that the author uses in his therapy sessions with couples. Complete directions are given, including a timetable for when to complete them. Over all, I thought this book provided some excellent insight into the unconcious workings of the love relationship and is definitely worth reading if you'd like to work your way into a "concious" relationship!
