Getting There by Bacon Brothers (The) (CD, Nov-2003, Image Entertainment Audio)

Rock, country, blues, folk.... You name it.... A real eclectic collection
of musical genres. And the lyrics range from serious to sentimental to
whimsical. This CD was a fantastic find. I actually bought a second one,
figuring that I'd wear out the original one. I admit to buying the first
one out of curiosity - after all, half of the duo is actor Kevin Bacon. But
it won me over into their legion of fans. I highly recommend this CD (or any
others of theirs - I think I now have all they've released so far).

I love the Bacon Brothers music. I never listen to music much,but this album caught my attention. I think I will enjoy it very much.

I saw Kevin and his brother on a talk show a long time ago and thought they were fabulous. I had no idea Kevin had musical talent beyond his acting. I really enjoyed the song they played that day and it stuck with me in the back of my mind. I had a recent very positive experience finding an obscure CD from 1993 that one of my children broke, and the idea struck me to check for it on ebay. There it was - brand new-still in the wrapper. I play it nearly everyday in my 5 disc cd player. I really like nearly all the songs which is great. Don't you hate it when you buy a CD because you like one song, then no matter how much you play it, the rest of the CD does not connect with you? Kevin's singing and music ability is akin to his acting, solid, always dependable, and you get more than you pay for. I am glad I bought it.

Well at first I didn't like them, but I never heard there music. My sister dragged me to a concert in PA, and I was hooked. After that I saw them two more times in MN. There first two CD's were the Best. TMI, jersey girl, strung out, wrestling women are all great songs. I hope this helps, a Bacon Brother fan forever!

Excellent CD! I simply love the Bacon Brothers band! Nice, original songs, great voices, excellent musicians!

I like Kevin Bacon, so I was curious as to how he (and his brother) sounded with their band. Very good CD, the Bacon Brothers sound a bit like young James Taylors. Soft rock, nice original tunes.
