A solid follow up to Troost's first book "Sex Lives of Cannibals," Savages takes the reader on an off beat voyage through Vanuatu and Fiji. He dives deep into the local culture, from Kava to Cannibalism to Fiji's post coup Prostitution boom with a great sense of humor. This book has inspired me to reach beyond my cozy existence and experience the South Pacific the way it should be. Great read!
