Get Smart - Season 1 (DVD, 2008)

What's not to like about the classic TV series! Mel Brook's comic touch to this classic is great fun to watch. I'm having fun re-living the fun TV of my childhood, and introducing it to my kids. It's a nice break to watch something together with them, and not to have to worry about the content being appropriate or not (except that classic TV does have a lot of smoking). And remembering the original source for a variety of lines (...missed it by That Much...) You know, there were famous taglines before SNL.....

Besides, we need a break from Rocky and Bullwinkle every now and then!

We love these old shows. My children really enjoy the action in this series. A lot more "wholesome" that what is on TV these days. Would recommend to kids of all ages.

My sister and I used to watch Get Smart on TVland when we were kids, and loved it, so I was excited yet skeptical to get it. I wondered if it would be too kiddish, but I still like it. Great family series. Sometimes a little cheesy, but overall, it's great.

I didn't realize how many of the spy technology things he used ended up becoming for sale many years later. You should get it just to see how ahead of its time it really was. The only surprise was that I didn't remember 99 being so crazy about smart. She chases after him all through the series. It was the opposite in the movie that came out which was a bit strange because I thought the movie was how I remembered it. It is very entertaining!

No question about it, for any Smart fans, they will love this DVD set. If you like Pink Panther movies, this is a great series. If you enjoy Bond and Mission Impossible with humor, Get Smart is the show for you. LOVE IT!

I wanted to buy this because after watching the new version of Get Smart with Steve Carell, it reminded my dad of the old seasons he used to watch when he was younger. So I bought this for him and he was thrilled!

Great Series from the late 60's. Clean, humorous, and above board. Glad it came to DVD. Always looking for episodes from the 60's and early 70's for our family.

I bought this for my husband for his birthday. He loved watching this show way back when, and still loves it today. Our teenage kids, and the younger ones, watch it with us and love it too. It has been a great family activity. We love the old humor and gadgets, and love that we can watch it as a family. That's right 99!

Love it by that much. Great. I was instantly brought back to the days when I watched KAOS try to control the world. It was easier then when we knew who the Bad Guys were. No they are everywhere. It is good clean fun I need Hogan's Heroes next.

Reminded me of when I was a kid. Loved it. I would recommend it to anyone who likes slapstick comedy and a classical sense of humor.

The Get Smart set is every bit as funny and charming as the first time I saw it on television. This four disc set takes you from the first episode ,black and white through the misadventures of maxwell Smart.
I purchased it as I enjoyed it as a kid and was surprised to find out that its still charming and a tension breaker.
I highly recommend it to any classic old time TV comedy fan. The package is a small oyster shell with 4 leafs and fits right in with those movies in any collection. Liner notes are involved and Barbara Feldman introduces all of the episodes with her personal commentary. I loved it.

After seeing the new get smart movie the kids wanted to see what the old series was like. I could not find it in stores, but it was available at Ebay. We are now Get Smart fanatics!! They watch it every night. Thet quality of the DVD's is very good. Thanks.
