Get Smart (Blu-ray Disc, 2008, Bonus Disc)

Eh. It was alright as a cliche movie about nothing. Rowan Atkinson trumps this category tenfold with Johnny English and I think largely that was because Steve Carell was seriously underplayed. I felt a lack of laughter from a lack of funny moments and jokes. Course, it did have The Rock in it... can't expect much more than that, right?

Whether you watched the show during its original run, caught it in reruns over the years like I did, or you are a very recent fan of the series like my 9 year old son who watches all the seasons and original movies repeatedly, you will laugh hysterically at this movie. Just about every agent and character from the original series is here, from Agent 13 who gets stuffed in the oddest places to Fang, Max's dog from season one.

The dialog, the gags, and the characters are pure Get Smart. I do not believe anyone could have come into Don Adams shoe phone better than Steve Carell. He perfectly carries off the almost debonair, yet not as clever as he thinks he is Agent 86. Anne Hathaway (who looks breathtaking in black leather) was awesome as Agent 99, completely playing the seasoned agent to Max's bumbling. Alan Arkin, Dwayne Johnson, and Terrance Stamp round out a great cast. I just hope though in the next movie we see more Hymie, one of my all time favorite characters. My family and I have been waiting over a year since the first trailer was shown for this movie and it was well worth the wait. We will be seeing it many times over.

When I get a movie I don't just watch it once and put it away forever. I like to watch movie a least 3 to 4 times, if not more. And this movie is great, its still just as funny at the first time I saw it.

i love steve carell in the office, anchorman, and 40 year old virgin but get smart could have been a good movie but was a disappointment. he was very predictable in what he was going to do and he had moments that were good but overall was a let down.

What a disappointment. :-( Get it used here on eBay if you must. Cheesy effects and a worn-out story line to boot. Definitely not worth the retail price and don’t bother renting it either. GREAT Seller though.

great movie..recomended, full widescreen..good for everyone, great sound and picture and very funny..I like watch a movie in full screen, not all of the movies are full wide screen.

It's the comical material that were original, and the pictures are nice on HD. It was great to watch Steve perform with his originality of dry humor. The movie was balanced when Anne added a tough but sweet character with a nice face that audience feel for the character. The Rock was actually ok in this one, but what do you expect Scorpion King? And not to mention, the two nerds that were excellent addition for laughter.

Product arrived quickly and was in terrific shape! Great Movie. I would tell everybody I know to see this movie.

Great movie!! Been watching the series since I was a kid and everything from the show ties into the movie very nicely. Highly recommend movie to anyone that loves comedies and of course GET SMART!
