Just kidding, this CD is full of incredible lyrics, girl power, smooth jazz arrangements, and an angry female rapping. Every single song has good lyrics if nothing else (that not ever being the case) Get this CD if you like jazz, rap, pop, ... whatever just get this CD.

) Nellie McKay is a quirky performer. You may recognize her as the younger sister Ciara in the movie "PS I Love You". I was hesitant to buy a CD for fear that it wouldn't match her on-stage charisma but this CD has quickly become a favorite of mine. Quite a talent for someone so young. A shame that she is on the outs with Columbia, I fear she won't acheive her potential staying on small labels. Bought a secind copy for my dad!

) Original, diverse. Nellie McKay is obviously a highly intelligent and gifted artist. I learned about her through npr.org There is at least one recent interview of her on the NPR show Fresh Air and also one live concert on the NPR web site.

THIS ALBUM IS AWESOME!
) I heard Nellie McKay from a friend and was instantly hooked. It's very sing-songy and upbeat, yet she sneaks in references to psychiatric drugs, Dr. Phil, dead cats and Eminem. The promo sticker on the front says "a mix between Doris Day & Eminem" and it's so true. This is an awesome CD & highly recommended! Look out for her new one dropping this month!
