Geronimo:The U S Airbourne in World War II
I liked the perspective given from the Airbourne side and learning the growth and developement of the divisions. Not only the 101st Division "The Screaming Eagles", but also the 82nd from the famous "Rainbow Division" of World War I.
It lets you have more background all the way from the first jumps in North Africa, to Sicily, the drops behind the lines at Normandy on D-Day, then again in Holland, the defending Bastonge by both Airbourne Divisions.
There are a lot of interviews from some of the people that served in the Airbourne and then also footage on training and the beginning of things to be tradition from that point on.
It was film in both color and black and white and so there is lots of original footage from training and action too. Definetly worth the 2 1/2 hours that seems like a lot less time then that.
