Finding references that cover the complex philatelic history of old Germany can be frustrating. Quite by accident I found in this wonderfully detailed work. Containing 237 pages, written in English, and profusely illustrated, it is THE resource for avid collectors of German States and colonies. A fabulous reference - I recommend it to anyone with an interest in postal history of Old Germany. My only comment is that I wish the illustrations were in color! (My issue is the 1996.)
