George Stella's Livin' Low Carb by George Stella (2004)

My internist, who says he's a food-aholic and really, really loves to cook, recommended this book to me. It was inspiring to read the author's own totally positive experience that he and his family had with their change to the cooking/recipes that he refined (he's a chef) and to their diet of his foods. And the recipes really do sound great. I've tried a few, and though I'd never be confused with a chef, things turned out okay. (My doctor said that Stella even has a recipe for cheese puffs that are out of this world.)
My only "complaint" is that there's no place where the author actually states , grams of carbs or proteins that are acceptable in his "diet plan," which fruits are okay, etc. This is pretty basic necessary information to me, and being diabetic, I do have to pay attention to such details.
Other than that, it's a fine book. The photos of the prepared dishes can make me drool.
