Never go the phone and she never answered the question of where the phone was at when i sent it to her Like she drop off face of earth after she got payment.
This phone can do all of its functions, including an LCD display, off the phone line power - no AC adapter needed. Its speaker phone is sufficient for days when I work at home on the computer and talk to people out of state.
The button layout is good - no "fat fingering" the adjacent button by mistake and the "Speaker" button lights up red to indicate that you're on speakerphone.
The only complaint I have with this phone is the volume control, or near lack thereof. It is a single button which cycles up and down. Ordinarily, you would expect there to be an "Up" button and a "Down" button. But no, if you want to raise the volume, you have to push the button at least twice to see which direction you're headed - softer or louder. If you're going softer, you have to go all the way down to silent and then come back up to loud. Very disappointing and if I had the chance to do it all over again, I would not get this phone.
I purchased the corded phone about a month ago for two reasons. First, as a backup phone in the event of a power outage. We only had cordless phones which are useless during a power outage. Secondly, to respond to automated call systems request to enter menu numbers while holding a cordless was annoying. This phone also offered a speaker phone feature which is dandy when you are on hold for minutes that seem like hours. Another cool feature I like is that you can dial all your numbers of say an 800 number call looking at the screen and then when you turn the speaker on, the number is automatically dialed very fast.
On the other hand, the one thing that I find a little annoying is the shape of the hand set. The way it sets in the cradle its easily jostled loose an of course the dial tone comes on. Stated differently, the hand is easily knocked loose from its cradle activating the phone line.
I would say that I am very satisfied with the phone.
