General Electric 28821FJ3 1.9 GHz Twin 1-Line Cordless Phone

This is an excellent telephone set. The one issue I have is that the manufacturer neglected to include a charger for the monitor. The extension handset is hard wired so it can not be used to charge the room monitor and because of this the main base unit has to be disconnected to charge the room monitor.
The reason for my purchase of this unit was for the monitor. Due to my health I sleep seperately from my wife and she wanted the monitor to list for me while she was resting/sleeping. This required an additional expense to order the charger needed to make the monitor functional without disconnecting the base unit. Not good!
The telephones work to perfection. The monitor works as we wished it would. Now if they would only include the second charger that is not hard wired to charge the monitor it would be a perfect unit.

Purchased this phone to replace older 2.4mhz model due to interference and popping noises. I searched the internet to find the best choice for our family needs and found this one. It seems to provide everthing we need in a home phone. Two standard handsets and an additional speakerphone (This is an outstanding feature and I generally keep this at my computer desk) which came in handy when making get well and birthday group calls. The speakerphone charges and can be carried with you the same as a handset. It great for long conversations while performing household chores or tasks. I always have clear calls and no interference with dect 6.0. You can switch calls between handsets and check messages from the handsets. You can even slow the speed of recorded messages to extract that important but hard to hear number. An additional feature that is nice is the one touch GOOG-411 free directory assistance and free call connect. Overall I am very satisfied with my purchase and would replace with the same model if anything were to happen to the current one.

Very nice unit! Built in answer machine. Two handsets which both have speaker phone option, easy to use (large) number buttons, Backlit buttons. Charging units have a blue light bar to indicate in use/charging function. Intercom between handsets and base. All have nice sound. Base unit can be table top or mounted on your wall jack. Overall sleek, sophisticated appearance. I am extremely happy with this purchase!
The only negative for me is the ringtones which are more like a cell phone then a house phone.

I really have enjoyed my phones, they are great and even the speakers on them are great. No one even knows they are on speaker. I would recommend this set to anyone!

It was given to a new Mother so she could monitor the baby's room. It works great for that but all the others features makes it a best buy. Sound is first class, good range and long battery life. She uses the google 411 option all the time.
I could not find a bad feature.
