Gears of War (Xbox 360, 2006)

Overall-
This game is amazing. It is possibly one of the funniest games on the xbox 360. The great thing is, it is also kid friendly meaning you can turn off the blood/gore/and violent effects. You can have hours of fun.

Campaign-
The campaign is co-op over xbox live, and you and your buddy can have hours of fun laughing and playing through the single player campaign together! The campaign portion of the game gets a 5/5.

Graphics and Effects-
The graphics are truly stunning and definitely next generation visuals. The rain effects are amazing all the way to the texture resolution. This game looks amazing in the 1080i mode on the xbox 360. The textures are sharp and crisp. The effects are great, chunks are blowing out of the walls and after you unload a clip into something, there will be holes in it from the bullets. The blood and gore effects are realistic and gruesomely realistic. The chain saw rips through characters very violently and cuts them right in half, of course these sick effects can be turned off for a more family orientated game. PARENTS, ALWAYS KEEP A EYE ON YOUR CHILDREN IF THEY ARE PLAYING THIS GAME.
Graphics and effects overall get a 5/5.

Multiplayer- The multiplayer is a big part of the game after you beat the campaign. However, i recommend you beat the campaign on insane difficulty before you go online, because people on xbox live playing this game ARE VERY GOOD AND EXPERIENCED. On the multiplayer, i found it quite laggy and extremely had to rack up more than 2 kills in one game. Each game have rounds, and they go until all the players are killed. A new addition release the new annex mode which is similiar to conquest in battlefield 2 and 2142. You have unlimited respawns and have to capture certain control points on the map.
Overall the multiplayer aspect of the game gets a 4/5 because it is laggy,hard to kill, and not as fun as campaign because people are too good.

Overall this game gets a 4/5. It is truly a good game but the multiplayer is just not right, it is to laggy,hard, and frustrating. I recommend this game however and is a must have for a xbox 360 console owner.
