Gator (DVD, 2003)

Burt Reynolds as the director gets everything done as he wants in a follow-up to his 1973 film "White Lightning". Lauren Hutten doesn't quite fit as a Southern TV reporter, but she is very attractive. Reynolds character seems a lot more learned than in the previous film, but it is a sequel with a lot of liberties from the first anyway. Frankly, Jerry Reed steals the movie as the crime boss. This whole crew got together a year later to create "Smokey and the Bandit", and the movie is a lot better than the stuff they make today.

Nothing not to like about this classic!One of Burts best performances!I love all of his movies especially this one!It probably one of the best!

This movie has it all! An excellent plot, suspense, action, adventure, romance, and a touch of comedy. This is defineatly Burt's most under-rated movie of his career. Excellent actors in this one, therefore excellent acting, well written and directed. You will be glad you bought this one! As far as I'm concerned, a timeless treasure. In my top 10 movies of all time, easy!

I HAD BEEN WANTING THESE OLD BURT RYNOLDS MOVIES.FOR YEARS..NOW THEY ARE ON DVD..BETTER SOUND AND PICTURE..GOOD OL BOY MOVIE,WITH CARS AND CHASES..I REMEMBER GOING TO SEE THESE MOVIES.AT THE OUT DOOR DRIVE IN MOVIES..IN MY 1969 FORD BIG BLOCK MOTOR CAR..WE HAD FAST STREET CARS AND FAST CAR CHASE MOVIES.YOU GOT TO LOVE BURT RYNOLDS AND JERRY REED..I ALLSO BOUGHT BURT RYNOLDS WHITE LIGHTNING..ITS EVEN BETTER.THESE MOVIES.WERE MADE BACK.WHEN WE HAD REAL CARS..

speed,fights,cars,speed,and o yea more speed. its a great movie from burts rowdy days and when everyone wanted to show uop the law and have some extreme fun messing with the goverment,totally hilarious

i loved the movie brought back memories of my past and the wholesum action pack movies of the past that was ebjoyed and now lost due to the expense of new movies which are lost in deseption of violence and computer grapics and animation

the reason i bought it is burt reynolds is the man. he plays a guy named bobby since that is my name and i have always been a burt fan, that is just too cool. the only detractor about the movie is burt deserves better looking female leads like sally fields or anitra ford or lonnie anderson but it is a cool movie.

I bought this DVD because i like Burt Reynolds and this movie i have looked for a long time. It is a long time favorite of my husband too. Have viewed several time since receiving it.
